New year, new resolutions. 2018 comes to our lives with the intention of leaving its mark on us the interior decorating promises to occupy a very important place. Therefore, at Annbar, as furniture lovers, we want to highlight what trends are going to mark this new year.
1. WOOD, MORE NATURAL THAN EVER
We have been darkening the appearance of wood for a few years, but in in the coming months we will see that even darker colors are coming with force. If little by little the walnut has been gaining ground at home, dark walnut trees, wenge, ebony and even completely black furniture.
The dynamics is accentuated much more. The veins are increasingly impressive, which will bring a much more rustic style and more cozy homes.
As the shades of the furniture are getting darker, black begins to become a more interesting option. This furniture style combines perfectly with metals, which will give the touch of sophistication very appreciated in décor.
2. STANDOUT GREY
Without a doubt, we can say that gray will remain predominant during this 2018. Both in furniture, combined with wood tones, and other colors as for upholstery, walls and all kinds of surfaces. Its ability to blend gives it great versatility when it comes to introducing it in our spaces.
Precisely is that its ability to blend easily with other colors that will give it much play in this year's decorations. However, we will strongly receive other colors such as purple. Not in vain, the Pantone color of 2018 is the Ultra Violet. Its influence will be felt strongly, especially in textile materials.
3. MIX-AND-MATCH BETWEEN STYLES
We saw it during 2017, but this tendency will be single out more during 2018. There are no absolute values, so the styles become more flexible. It is something that is related to the mixture of materials that we discussed previously and if we join wood and metal, it will not be difficult to find rustic decorations with industrial touches and vice versa.
As long as we are able to mix our furniture with consistency, everything will be well received if it truly fits our tastes and needs.
